Followed the Front Office & Housekeeping NTC Level 3 in 1999

Trainee Testimonial

I joined the then Hotel School of Mauritius in 1999 as trainee in Front Office & Housekeeping NTC Level 3 which I completed successfully in 2001. In the same year, I was offered the post of Receptionist/ Guest Relation at Berjaya Hotel at le Morne.

In quest of more opportunities and in order to enhance my knowledge and skills, I left my job in 2002 to go Scotland at the Motherwell College to do my Diploma in Hotel Management.

After having successfully passed my Diploma, I enrolled for a Degree in Hospitality Management at the Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. During my years at the University, I took different jobs in order to meet the costs of living and my studies. From 2002 to 2007, I was assigned a part time job in the Food & Beverage department at Best Western Hotel, Falkirk, Scotland.

From 2007 to 2009, I was offered a full time job as responsible of the Restaurant and Banqueting department at Best Western Hotel. I was very proud of the responsibility that had been conferred upon me, proud of myself, proud of my parents, proud of my country and last but not least proud of the then IVTB/ Hotel school of Mauritius which has groomed that shy girl coming from a distant village of Mauritius to be able to perform at international level.

I left Scotland in 2010 to come back to my native country and was immediately offered the job of Quality Assurance Officer at Heritage Awali. In 2011, I was promoted Quality Assurance Manager and at present I am holding the post of Learning and Development Executive for Heritage Resorts.
